So here is the background information. I live in probably one of the most dangerous places on the planet where when all is operating with state and federal laws life is normal. If just one person violates the laws of physics all hell will break loose.

1. I live approximately .5 miles from Hill AFB UT and my house is in the flight pattern of every thing coming into that base.

2. I live .25 miles from the only freeway in Utah I-15. There is a lot of hazmat that move through Utah.

3. I live two blocks from the Union Pacific railroad. Need I say more?

My focus is mainly on a hazmat incident in my area. I am experimenting with the use of UAS's and ground rovers in assessing an incident where it is too dangerous for humans to go.

At this time my UAS and and rover are RC based. You have to start somewhere. So I am trying to determine the best use usually situational when to operate under RC control and when to operate under autonomous control. Not having a complete grasp of the autonomous world I would like other opinions.
