About Me:

I am retired from the U.S. Air Force, I was an aircraft mechanic on the F-111A, F-4C,D,E,G, F-16, T-33 for over 20 years. I have rebuilt a Stearman PT-17 and is now hanging in the Hill AFB Museum. I appeared in a History channel documentary called Mega-movers, Extreme aircraft moves. I was one of the team members supervising the recovery of a B-24 liberator from the Aleutian Islands in 1996. The program aired in summer of 2007. I have been around aircraft all of my life. The funny thing is I have no desire to fly myself. But I enjoy reading about all types of aircraft and building them.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I fly large RC aircraft. My aircraft tend to get bigger and bigger. I am building a 110 inch wing span powered glider with an onboard camera and an Aoelus 50 Helicopter 53 inch main rotor. I hope to upgrade them with a programable auto pilot. I am also building multi motor copters for use in surveying damage after a disaster. I am also building a rover vehicle used to perform search in partially collapsed buildings.
