My question is...
How can I monitor the battery level in my Iris? I am using the standard transmitter. Also is there a manual for this transmitter somewhere? Or is it that simple I should be able to work it out by pushing buttons?

Don't think you can do that, you need a tablet with Droid Planner or Laptop with Mission Planner connected to the telemetry radio's.
