Made some prototype legs to help reduce weight and make it much easier to store.

I would also use some Oring or rubber dental braces elastic to make sure they stay locked in the event of a failure as a retainer. Or a C-Clip might be added that you rotate around the open side too.

sorry to post so late to this thread,
But this is an amazing idea! I've actually been looking for this exact concept so I may use a smaller case to transport both my Y6 And Iris+.
Have you had the chance to test the legs out?
Also is there a location to implement the locking screw so the legs stay in place?
Sorry for the questions, but I'm definitely thinking about attempting to give these a shot.

Now take it 1 step further. At takeoff it retracts the legs like the landing gear of an airplane. Then on landing they lower back down.
So I see you have a 3D printer, which one do you have?
I was going to, Basicly a rigging that pulled them down. Its in my head, use Spiderwire to pull each leg up and small spring to push them back down. one servo and some imagination should do it.
