Folding Legs prototype legs

Made some prototype legs to help reduce weight and make it much easier to store.

Let me know if you have any thoughts:

  • Hey Kris,

sorry to post so late to this thread,

But this is an amazing idea! I've actually been looking for this exact concept so I may use a smaller case to transport both my Y6 And Iris+.

Have you had the chance to test the legs out?

Also is there a location to implement the locking screw so the legs stay in place?

Sorry for the questions, but I'm definitely thinking about attempting to give these a shot.

    Thanks,

    Craig P.

  • All I can say is "YES!". Have thought about doing that for my Iris+.

Now take it 1 step further. At takeoff it retracts the legs like the landing gear of an airplane. Then on landing they lower back down.

So I see you have a 3D printer, which one do you have?
