you should use the default parameter set for a factory frame like the iris, this sets up all this for you.

Unfortunately, more than likely a result of my doing, I needed to bind the transmitter to the reciever. And the first time I was in Mission Planner I clicked on things I shouldn't have.
I have since loaded the frame configuration called iris+ from the frame configure option in mission planner.
Thanks for your help. I am now seeing and getting battery indications.
