Propeller Washer for Pre IRIS +

Hi gents and ladies,

I'm in a quandry. I have a pre-Iris + that threw a prop on a flight and I lost the little star washer for the propellers. I don't have a replacement in the case it came in so what would be the best remedy? Do I need that toothed/star washer to fly or should I get kepnuts, or something new. What do you guys do?

The nylon lick nuts and locktite options will all wear over time requiring new nuts or application on locktite.

You can get the spring washers from any automotive or hardware store.

You should check for tightness before every flight in anycase
    • Thanks Bill, I did grab the washers at the local hardware store and they had a suply of the nuts. Crisis averted for now!

  • I fly without them (not really advisable), lost them all the same way you lost your, but I make sure I tight the nuts before every flight.

If you can get nuts with nylon stopper that would be the best.
