Hello

Still new to this forum and I have just discovered the Iris group.  Doh!

Up till this point I have been asking questions to the main forum and had a quiet time for replies.  Which I can appreciate and understand.

I have read a lot about Mission Planners for a Tablet or Phone and the ability to use maps and way-points to guide an Iris.  May I ask what kind of maps are used and if they are free or propriety?

Cheers

    Google earth generally

    • Google earth is ok but I would not say that it was pin-point accurate.  However I have never really used Google Earth for navigation, other than Google Maps to navigate my car from place to place.

Is it possible to use other maps such as British OS maps, which by their very nature are superior to Google Maps for micro navigation and navigating on British hills?
