Drift Mode Problem

Hi..... looking for some guidance or help with my drift mode problem on my quad 500.

Decided to start using this mode. When I switch to drift mode the motors die and we have a quad bouncing on the ground.

Althold and Poshold which are the ones I have been using work fine. Before take off I have what I thought good GPS lock with GPS HDOP of less than 2 usually around 0.8 and sat count of 12 or more. Are they good enough to use drift mode and my next try is circle mode.

I was under the impression that if lost GPS it should switch to another non GPS mode. I have that failsafe box ticked.

It may be related but I get a few bad accel health on mission planner. Also bad compass variance and another compass prob that I can't remember.

The pixhawk is brought from china, one with the white bottom. Not sure if they are any good.

When I have the quad on the ground and arm it, and up the throttle a bit. In Althold it is ok, switch to Poshold I get 2 beeps and all seems fine but then switch to Drift I only get 1 beep and the motors speed up. When I idle back the motors slow but are still faster than normal idle. I use a 6 position rotary switch. So why does it fall from the sky when I switch to it.

Tks  Ken.
