Pixhawk not receiving sbus from taranis x8r

I've recently upgraded my taranis to 2.1.9 and upgraded my receivers with the help of your very informative youtube videos.
But I have ran into a major problem. Once I have rebound my receiver and plug it into my amp 2.6 via the sbus encoder, happy days, all works.
However if I take the same reciever an plug it into my pixhawk and run through the set up on mission planner version 3.2.1 and 3.3.3 I am unable to get any movement out of the calibration screen, is I've said I know the sbus is sending because the amp works fine........... proper confused. Help please

    No. This is not solved.

    I have reset, reloaded software, and checked all connections but get the same issue.
    The sbus I connected to the RC in port, the signal pin is at the bottom where it should be.
    I have no power switch so have changed the arm setting to zero in mission planner.
    When I boot the pixhawk I get a flashing green saying ready to go.
    I think maybe this was a typical cheap clone.
    I've gone back to my faithful amp2,6 for a while, whilst hoping that someone might have a fix for this

    Make sure you are connecting the receiver to the RC port and not the S.Bus port.  The S.Bus port is an OUTPUT, but it can be used an an input for Analog RSSI from the X8R.

    Yes it definitely in the rc in port and signal to signal etc.

    I've rebooted it many times today trying different versions of software from mission planner but to no avail

    Have you plugged the X8R into the SBUS port or the RC port on the Pixhawk? Not sure if you know this but you need to use the RC port.... confusing labelling first time round.

    Even if you use the right port I have recently had the same issue - cycling the power a few times solved my issue.
