Px4flow and Lidar lite 3

Dear All

I am writing this message because I would like to clarify some issues in my mind related to the PX4flow and the lidar lite 3.

From my understanding, the PX4Flow needs a « distance sensor » to compute the optical flow, and this distance sensor must be plugged on the PX4flow board. So far, it is a sonar.

I am puzzled because I read that some people use the Lidar lite 3 to measure the distance which will be used for ALT HOLD but that can be used by the PX4Flow as well… But in this case how is that possible ? Is there anybody out there that can clarify this point ?

But my understanding is that because it is not possible to use two sonars pointing in the same direction due to interferences, the Px4flow uses its own sonar and the altitude is provided by another sensor, namely a lidar. Am I correct?

Best regards
