HDMI Output from Controller

Can someone provide a use case for the HDMI output from the Controller?
Hook up an external monitor, OK, I'm up for that, but outside in a wide open area where it is safe to operate Solo? Carry around a small battery operated TV?

I tried to connect two iOS devices to the video feed, did not seem to work.
Would like to utilize Follow Me and see the GoPro video output from the "Safety Pilot with the Controller" perspective. Seems to be no hard wired HDMI input to iOS or Android devices. 

Anyone tried using this feature, how or what did you do?

    Used it with a Black Perl monitor on a tripod.  Better visibility than on iPad (mainly because it has a better sun shade).  But I didn't like the cable tethering me to the monitor/tripod.  

    The best use case that comes to mind is FPV goggles.

    There are others (e.g. live-feed, etc).

    Yeah. I put a little Mopro (7" X-Sports Camera Monitor, Design For GoPro Hero 3+ / 4 Series & DSLR Camera) on the safety pilot or use a Bolt Pro 600 transmitter on it and view it on set on a big monitor!
