I set it up with two aileron servos and 1 flap servo (on a y-connector)

Did you mean to say 2 aileron channels and 1 flaps channel (with y cable). I assume you are actually using 2 flaps servos?
I read on another forum that the slow boat to Australia arrives this week so hopefully I can try out this file soon.
