It works great with that box un-checked however!! Just load all the maps while on wifi then they will be used next time your not on wifi.
I add your explanation to first topic to be more complete (better english wrote ;) )
Hi Cala didn't even realize this was your thread.
I see a LOT of comments in the ratings of Tower on google play lots of people complain about this. They really need to clarify that offline maps check box it's messing a lot of people up they think it won't work offline but it does!! Much better than DP did.
Do you seem to notice Tower is more stable now than it was when it was DP? Seems like since 3dr adopted it and started 3dr Services it really works great. Better than it use to.
I adopt Tower because include planes too but It has some altitude problems yet to be really usefull for planes; with copter looks fine.
Which ground station do you use when you have the altitude problem? I've had the issue with APM 2 a couple years ago with displaying the correct altitude. It seems fine now.
I refer to Tower as GS, it shows the abs altitude and the minim the relative.
Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant what did you use to flash the firmware onto your amp?
Ah, sorry, I use the Mission Planner
Yes I have issue with altitude displaying correctly with 'plane' as well. It displays absolute instead of relative or something. It displays correctly until a gps lock.hmmmm Yet the plane did fly okay in guided mode when I flew it a week ago so it seems more of a telemetry glitch problem [ with Taranis and a lua script ] than an actual 'plane' FW guided problem. For instance if I turn my Taranis on and off a couple times my Taranis display then reads the correct alt. aka 0 on the ground.
I agree I notice the same thing AND it's been like that many versions of DP ago too. I keep thinking to myself am I thinking about it backwards? The only thing it might mean is use maps on your removable media instead of the normal locations it stores them?? Could that be it? If it is then it should allow you to direct it to that location / files. In any event I agree it seems backwards.
