Skywalker X8 Launcher Plans
I recently built an X8 launcher and thought that I would share the plans. The legs are removable, but at the moment, not adjustable. The trigger isn't anything special and I hope to modify it eventually. It currently is made up of a door hinge with springs welded between it and an extension on the top. Great forum, Quick question, I'm planning on using this bird for Arial mapping, And making a diy roll gimbal for inside. I am probably going to need a nice bit of range. Currently using a futaba 9c, but the screen is now faulty.
What transmitters/radio setups are you guys using?

@John - they changed the wood bits that come with the kit - it's really a tiny change. Also, if you modify the wing so that the trailing edge lines up with the fuse you'll actually require less trim and make the airframe more efficient. I used a few flat plastic pieces and simply sandwiched the trailing edges with the fuse.
disliking the confluence of an X8 airplane (is that right?) versus the X configured Octocopter (the reason I poked my nose in here). Carry on :-)
Are there just 4 X8s out there which have already flown and of which the setup could be seen as "proven"? Come on people, a few more setups for the list please! I'll gladly link to / include photos/videos!
