MAX7456 character set problems!

I have a question,how to read the chip MAX7456 character set.I need to do a home works from my school,But I didn't any idea about read character set.Who know how to read the character set from MAX7456 ?? Could telling me the methods? Or any software?

1) Why stabilize mode like the loiter mode very stable ??
