Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I was a software developer at Texas Instruments, then for 8 years I headed up research for an avionics and instrumentation manufacturer selling primarily to general aviation airframe manufacturers. After that I started a company that was initially a contractor to NASA and the DoD and went on to design long-distance, high-speed Internet infrastructure for telcos. That company also does technical photography (Hasselblad H4D-60 focus stacking, for example). I have come to the realization that everything is boring compared to autopilots so going forward that will be my focus and hopefully my company's facilities and my experience can be used to make a meaningful contribution to some niche of the field. Currently I am interested in launch and recovery.
