Patrolling and scarcity of field staff is the single most threat to the conservation of protected areas in developing countries. Simple, economical and reasonably long range drones with a real time camera on board could increase patrolling in national parks dramatically and greatly improve conservation in the parts of the world where it matters most: the tropics
