"Here is what I would consider the UAV's worst case scenario for performance in the US. It is a growth regulator/sprout stop called Royal MH-30. We spray it mostly on potatoes here. West of the Rocky Mountains (where I am) this product has a 10…"
In order for small UAS systems to be productive in the US, the current minimum total spray volumes per acre stated on the various chemical labels will have to be changed. Have any manufacturer's approached the Environmental Protection Agency about…
"Here is an example of boots on the ground.
I just finished the above post and opened my email to find this pest alert for cereal leaf beetle in wheat. Notice the scouting suggestion of walking in a "w" and stopping at 5-10 locations, and counting…"
"I think I'm saying it depends on the exact situation, on an exact crop, with an exact commodity price to be had at the end of a season.

I know that Yamaha has a dry dispersal system for the RMAX and they have apparently been toying with seeding rice with them in Japan, but I can't find any pictures, stats, or video of that being performed. Anyone ever seen this?
"That would be a good one to get you started on spraying, no matter the continent you are on! Great suggestion Ed, I've never seen that one before. Thanks!"
"You're spot on with both thoughts. Droplet drift distance for sure and primarily, but certainly droplet evaporation as well for high temp/low humidity situations especially for droplet spectrums below 250 microns.
"I suppose one drawback of getting larger machines that people are standing near to operate and flag/spot for is that you can kill someone. They got one in Korea with an RMAX a few years back.image.jpg"
