Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

Very interested in the GFS/JLN Coanda effect flying saucer since I first saw an article in 2007. Have conducted many experiments to learn about RC, lift, airflow etc and have built a replica of the JLN N01A 600mm diam model and a and 800mm diam model. I have not yet obtained stable flight but am perservering.

George B Taylor commented on Jean-Louis Naudin's blog post Coanda Effect Saucer (CES) UAV with an ArduIMU+ V2
"The lift for the CES UAV is a function of the velocity of the air close to the contour surface. The JLN curve of lift v airspeed approximates to lift = k x airspeed squared in the range 10m/s to 35m/s (for a given contour surface area). This doesn't…"

George B Taylor commented on Jean-Louis Naudin's blog post Coanda Effect Saucer (CES) UAV with an ArduIMU+ V2
"I built a 1:1 replica of Mr Naudin's NO1A, the precurser to the CESv1.2.  I did not acheive stable flight, the craft tilted over immediately on take off. Questions for Mr Naudin.
Should the craft be stable after lift off to 1.5m with fixed vanes…"
