Made an electronically-stabilized quad-copter drone back in 2008, before they became a thing. ("QFO 01" on youtube.) Now getting interested in drones again because I'm surprised that form-factor stuck around for two decades. Thinking coaxial counter-rotating for applications biased to hovering and modified-EDF for applications biased to speed/compactness.
