Velocity information provided by GPS modules

Hi,

I walk through datasheets of the different GPS modules, and I have some questions :

- velocicy/speed provided in the NMEA messages are they always doppler speed, or can they be for some modules derived from positions ?

- some modules claim a 0,1 m

Precise low speed velocity => help for GPS assisted manned Sailing boat ;-)
