is there a problem with mission planner 3.3.39 and the safety button flashing yet motors arm and spin. Picked up my drone and motors spun causing me to be cut, yet the motors were unharmed.

I had my drone off with safety button flashing, picked it up and it armed and motors spun causing my finger to be cut. Is this a 3.3.39 problem with the safety button?
