About Me:

I have been into Rc modeling on & off for about 13 years now. I've had some luck with the glow flying and very little with electric. However, for some time my interest have been focused on designing & building. Right now I am building a twin boom pusher that will fly stabile enough for a novice Flier.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I have been working on my UAV for about a year now, It is a twin boom pusher configurations. 90% of the construction is complete only a few things left like wing covering & placing the radio equipment. I will be using an auto pilot system that works off of infra red signature. My fuselage is constructed out of risen and wings are built of balsa, I also plan on installing Digital camera & Video with GPS as soon a I find out how well it flies. All together the wing span is 72 inches and i am trying to keep flying weight around 6.5 LB making the wing load about 16 to 18 oz pr SQ inch.

"I am trying to build a similar aircraft. my question is how do you determine the location of your horizontal stabilizer when building a twin boomed pusher like the  one you have? Or How far away from the main wings GC."

"I built the fuselage using 12oz fiberglass cloth & epoxy resin, the epoxy resin i used takes 12 to 18 hours to cure. However, once the first layer has cured and has been sanded another layer of resin is applied mixed with microbeads. Furthermore,…"

"i like this design as well! This looks similar to the aircraft I'm building. I trying to keep total flying weight around 72 ozs. i just hope I have enough engine propulsion with the wing configuration I'm using. I might need to step up to a four…"
