About Me:

I like airplanes, helicopters and my favorite type is multicopters. I have a large scale 8 blade multicopter with an image stabilizing gimbal that I attach a full size camera to. One of my pet peeves? Attaching a CMOS camera to a multicopter. The rolling video is terrible. Use a CCD camera instead. I have a General Amateur Radio license, so I can talk to people all over the world using HF. Morse Code is not one of my strengths. I had to learn it to get my license, just barely passed the code test, and promptly forgot it all. Learning Morse Code was seriously messing with my head, every little sound was a letter of the alphabet. :-) I've designed and built some of my own antennas, and have quite a bit of experience in the subject of radios & antennas. I've also built things with the Arduino, and enjoy writing Arduino code. I've worked for years as a programmer, and have written a lot of C code.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

Fascinated in all aspects of personal UAV's. I like the controller hardware and software designs, I'm fascinated by all the antenna choices, I also enjoy researching the different types of multicopter designs for the best price/performance ratio.
