About Me:

I am a retired electronics and SW manufacturer that now works for the USA School of Computing, where I was an Industry Advisory Board member for 20 years, and still am. I run the industry outreach here, and have developed a K-12 STEM outreach program that reaches state wide. I also developed a Partner School program that works with teachers to integrate CS learning into K-12 STEM curriculum. I am interested in drones, first as a hobby for the past 50 years (yes, I'm old) and also as a learning tool for computing.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I have been flying R/C for over 50 years. I have fixed wing and helicopters that I currently fly. Since learning about the Raspberry Pi, I have become interested in utilizuing it to control autonomous vehicles, including quadcopters. I hope this can be useful in education.
