About Me:

Software engineer with a backend and DevOps background, based in Cape Town. I come to UAVs from the code side, autonomy, flight control and mission logic rather than hand-flying and I am interested in the software that makes drones useful as an operational tool.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

My main interest is controlling UAVs through code rather than manual sticks: autonomy, mission scripting and flight-control software. Specific areas are CUE and TIP workflows, autonomous patrol, racing a drone to an incident as a first-response asset, and flying air cover over a team or area. I want to work on the software layer that ties sensing, navigation and mission execution together.
