Got interested in multicopters with the WLToys V929/V949 mini-quad, jumped to the Turnigy 9XR radio and am now flying a homebuilt RCexplorer-style Tricopter on APM 2.5 with GPS and Telemetry link with 1.3GHz FPV video link.
