About Me:

I have worked as an electronic communication technician for over 33 years. Built a Multi-Agency 13 site P25 800MHz simulcast radio infrastructure for the metro Louisville area as one of my larger projects. I am also an amateur radio operator.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

Purchased my fist 450 size RC helicopter in 2009. Taught myself how to fly the hard way. After many crashes and an electronics background, I have since built 2 other 450 Heli's using FMA flight stabilizers, 1 Parallax hexa-copter and 1 quad copter from spare parts. The quad controller is a Chinese ardupilot 2.5 mega clone and the hex is a ardupilot 2.5 mega from 3D robotics. The hex and quad have 915MHz data link, 3DR GPS and a Fat Shark 5.8GHz FPV system.
