I'm just about to finish up my masters in Aerospace Engineering at UCSD (June 09!!) with a focus in fluids and controls. I have been interested in flight from a very young age and have recently got into the great world of RC flying with my EasyStar.

In this modification, magnets are installed into the wing root. This modification was inspired by the tendency for the wings to vibrate themselves apart during flight. Since simply pinning the wings in place (either mechanically or with adhesive)…
