"An interesting video from Youtube with the Canon PowerShot Elph130IS (USD95)from Dennis Baldwin and the infragram-diy-filter-pack (USD10)
might help you on this - A DIY approach, you need a few tools though.
What are you hoping to sense ie. what are…"

"If I unserstand correct, the CG will be 19,7mm in front of the back plate (see draft), if Murray's design is followed precisely. Changeing the sweep of the back booms does move the CG around alot. By changing the sweep to 45°, the CG moves to 23,8mm."

"The thought of having Fly-Aways is not encouraging to start FPV.... Don't you have a failsafe RTL set up; or if it loses contact can't you tell it to loiter or orbit (so that you can move yourself closer)? I am just a NOOB, I think I desperately…"

Does our top fuselge take strain, that you have to keep it rigid?

"A few words to quick deployment ideas again:
Quick fasteners need a connecting bade which is a bit large and needs riveting. They also have a large diameter; more than 3mm diameter is not good because it inhibits motors wires in a 10mm square…"

The painted quad I have not got flying yet. I want to change a couple of small details to get the CG right and I have to take it apart completely.
Those are two different quads in my postings; but had originally the same plate design. On…"

"Here another one with the same plate design. An older KK flight controller as used, so is was placed ontop of the fuselage. 15x15mm booms were used, making it a bit heavier: 1002g without battery; 1420g AUW with a 3S 5000mAH battery."

"@Murray and @Jeff: maybe you are correct about the CG. I balanced it on a bottle without the battery (see the picture with the NON-alcoholic bottle); it is almost exactly in the middle of the flight controller. Weight without battery is 936g so it…"

"I am sure that I have a dud flight controller as I have checked everything else.
My AUW at the moment, without any FPV stuff, is 1205g (for a 650mm size quad). My build was not intended to be a weight saver; I used 2mm thick aluminum and the plates…"
