Another ArduCopter Hexa proto. Final frame is starting to form properly.
This version has landing gears that are meant for 600-700 Series helicopters. Nice looking but a bit heavier LG's. Having specially made mount plates for this LG

Jani,
the specified thrust total of 6.5 kg is using the smaller purple motors as in the picture, right ?
do you have an estimation of the total thrust using the bigger orange 2836 motors ?
Naturally hexa has more power than quad due it has 6 motors and quad has only 4. Hexa on a picture has maximum thrust of 6.5Kg's and with 2 x 5000mAh LiPo's it's weight is 2.3kg so you can still easily add around 700gr extra payload or take one battery off and add 1-1.2kg of payload.
You should always keep flying weight less than 50% of total thrust. I try to keep it usually around 40% to get maximum efficiency out.
So, hexa has more power than quad?
When hexa frames will be releashed?
Any plan for camera mount availlable for sale in the shop?
