3689703915?profile=originalHi all.

Finally I received all parts so I assembled the first prototype of my 170 mm FPV racer design (see previous posts for details and STL files).
All-up weight excluding battery and micro GPS is finally 286g.
And HOTT telemetry totally works!!! :)

That's great, will do. I've heard good things about HT-PLA, it's supposed to be super strong. The best thing about ABS is the cold vapour treatment. It gives an amazing finish but I much prefer PETG these days- it's very durable despite my flying style and easy to finish with a heat station.
  • Hi, of course, I'd be pleased.

Contact me by email on nhadrian@gmail.com for details and further support.

BTW now I'm practicing with HT-PLA, maybe it'll be strong enough to replace ABS but printing is much more easier.

Hi Adrian, would it be okay if I used your aircraft in my design and 3D printing class at my local primary school? I know the kids would get huge enjoyment in seeing your design come to life -into an aircraft they could actually fly!

nice! what 3D printer did you use ? any post printing processing with acetone to smooth the parts ?

  • Please note that I did some small modifications around HS1177 housing, I updated the files on GrabCAD. If anybody interrested in building one, please download the updated files. Thanks.

  • Hi, electronics are discribed in the first part of the blog, BeeRotor controller and PDB, 20A ESCs, 200 mW VTx, HS1177, etc. Of course frame can be modified for many more but I have really limited free time so I don't know when.
