Hey DIY Drones community,
I just wanted to share this video with you. It's a teaser for the new upcoming original sci-fi series "Life After Gravity" which was shot entirely with 3DR's Solo and GoPro to showcase their filmmaking capabilities.
Life After Gravity will debut next week on our YouTube channel and the next 6 episodes will be release in intervals in the remaining months of 2015.
Let me know what you think :)

I will send you across some images in a PM. Here is a link to a 3D model we surveyed of a dam in the UK. Give it 30 seconds to render properly :)

Hey James,
That's great! Yes it's been quite a journey at 3DR. I am glad that our equiment has helped you in your job. I would love to see some pictures of the work you do with the Pixhawk.
Great work...i think i'm falling in love with 3DR. Been working with your gear since APM2.6 for over 4 years now starting at University whilst studying my PhD in collision avoidance for UAVs. Seeing the company grow from being an opensource diy drone project, to being a professional company is really pleasing. I'm now working as technical manager of Remote Aerial Surveys, a UAV operations company and i have transformed our platforms from running DJI, to running Pixhawk. There is literally no comparison between the 2. 3DR rocks :)
Thanks Daniel, job well done.
Its nice to see some real footage being shot with the Solo instead of the absolutely rubbish raw videos that people have been posting.
It would be great for 3DR to collect together user submissions on videos and have a gallery.
really cool...
Hi Toby thanks for the input,
You are right, these shots were taken and post-edited by our in-house video production team in collaboration with producers and Solo users from around the globe.
However, the features in Solo make it easier and quicker to be able to take shots like these. With some practice anyone can take amazing shots.

Looking forward to seeing more.
outstanding flying and outstanding editing.
The problem comes when people see this and then buy a Solo thinking they can make magic like this.
They don't seem to realise it takes years and years of practice flying to be able to do this and then the post production editing alone would have taken weeks and weeks.
Its great to showcase what the solo can do, but its also helping to set expectations very high :)
Hey Gary,
Most of that was shot with DVT2 gimbals back in July. The latest shots are all with current gimbals, so it will be a mix of both in the final episodes.
Is that using the final gimbal?
