You think any Predator is too military? We can certainly cut down on the bristling bits on this one. Make it more neutral.

There's really no other UAV that's as recognizable, I'm afraid.
  • Hi Chris,

While that is one cool header :-), I unfortunately have to agree with MacBoffin on this one... then less military would be my choice of direction. I just haven't figured out a better alternative!

What do show instead? still thinking on that one...

    Macboffin,

How do you know those are armed? They could be NASA Predators doing scientific research for all you can tell in that silhouette. BTW, when Predator's carry Hellfires, they carry two. I actually don't know what that is sticking out but it's not a Hellfire.

BTW, we are resolutely apolitical here. People are entitled to their views on war, Israel and US foreign policy, but I'm going to try to ensure that this doesn't become the place for them to be aired.
  • Thanks Chris!

Ask and ye shall receive! Photos are now on the right. Only problem is that they don't automatically show any image posted on the site. You've got to explicitly post an image in that box for it to show there. I'm just using the built-in Ning features; perhaps someday they'll add one that has the option of viewing site-wide.
  • Is there a way to have one page that would act as a gallery to any and all images posted. Much like the Video gallery?
  • Very Nice. Good job, and I'll let you know if I thin of anything else, however I got out of web design a while back, and I'm a network engineer now so... 0]

Yes, it's hosted on the Ning social networking platform, so they're handling all the archiving and data backup. Plus new features will be coming all the time as the platform grows.
  • There you go. Great job so far! I dig the new look (especially the drones in grey and black). Hopefully you have some archiving functionality in case anything were to happen, you could bring it all back up in a few minutes/hours of notification?

    Problah,

Actually, we have an easier policy. You don't need permission at all! This is a community site, so everyone who signs up has the ability to post a blog entry to the front page or start a discussion on the side bar.

So far abuse has been minimal, but if posts need a little tweaking, I can always ask the author to do it and/or take it down until they do.

If the site gets too popular to make this manageable for me, I'll ask a few of the more frequent contributors to share in the community management duties and give them special logins to do so.
