"Drone Buzzes President Barack Obama's Motorcade in Hawaii"

Link here

Some guy, who received a drone for Christmas happens to be flying when Obama drives by, and the media goes WILD. But they ignore the hundreds of cars on the same highway that are a much higher risk to the president. It's going to be a big uphill struggle to get the society to overcome their fear of drones when the media panics like this.

Imagine what the FAA would do if this toy had crashed into the presidents motorcade?

  • "The FAA itself is the biggest dinosaur on the planet and is full of bureaucrats that do not have a clue."

". . . the FAA's actions were illegal and unconstitutional."

"because the 'government' says you must, you will live under the tyranny the bureaucrats dream up for you."

Obviously, 'civility' is in the eye of the beholder, and it is acceptable on this forum to make stuff up and to slander government officials.

    Noted.

Since DIY Drones is a private enterprise, freedom of speech rules don't apply. The rules of DIYD that do apply (unamended ;-) ) are to keep it civil or it will be deleted.

  • I wish you guys would give some notice before you get started on such threads. I didn't even get time to make some popcorn.

  • "We the People of these United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility. . ."

Oh, nevermind.  Vaya con Dios vato.  Go kill some more windmills.

  • You couldn't even make it past the 1st Amendment of the Constitution?

The Law Library has a LOT of books. . .

  • @Tony Kenward, you need to leave this forum. You are clearly not qualified to post here.

  • Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  • @Tony Kenward, I forgot to add I have a Master Degree in EE from the University of Arizona. class of 1992. My thesis was in 'Analysis and implementation of Advanced Sub-surface Imaging techniques using low-frequency electromagnetic waves and neural networks". I worked with Dr. Ben Sternberg at the Arizona, "Laboratory for Advanced Subsurface Imaging", to develop algorithms used today in ground-penetrating radar system.

So the next time you accuse somebody of not being an engineer, you should shut your mouth until you have the facts.

  • @Tony, I have worked as an Electrical Engineer for 20 years in the wireless industry for Motorola Cellular, semiconductor manufacturing for 10 years, both in ion implant for Applied Materials, (Quantum X used by both Intel and many other semiconductor manufactures), and currently I work for ETS-Lingdren, the only company in the world that markets CTIA approved MIMO testing software used by Apple and Samsung to test all of the their wireless devices, including ALL IPhones ever marketed. I have worked on developing the most advanced MIMO testing systems in the world, and both GPS/GLONASS test system that use satellite simulation systems made by Spirent Communications for GPS compliance testing for ALL cell phones used in the world today. I have worked in cellular infrastructer for Motorola, and for several Japanese companies and Chinese companies as a consultant for TDS-CDMA systems used in Asia. Shall I go on more with my resume as an engineer?

Yet you think that you seem to know more about the law than me, please site the authority granted by the U.S. constitution allowing a bureaucrat to impose taxes?  Please show me your law experience by quoting the chapter and verse.

Oh, and by the way, I have studied law. Just didn't decide on that career path. I have argued my own cases in court and WON. How about you?

  • Patrick, you are obviously not an engineer, so are you claiming to be a Constitutional lawyer? . . .

You should stick to your day job and leave the constitutional law, civic federal regulation, aeronautics, and engineering to the professionals.
