I cam across this information while doing some research today. I thought that this was a very interesting application of small UAS technology. I do not believe that it would be currently viable with the very technical nature of the systems and the skill set required to operate them but still a very interesting concept.http://www.nhls.ac.za/about_news.html
What can I say medical delivery in Africa using a UAV...nice concept however it sounds more like an exercise in extracting funding from the government or some ngo or a pr project.
I wonder how these guys got funding for this project from the NHLS? I would not be surprised if their UAV does not turn up sans the red cross for another more viable application.
Yeah will be interesting to see if our CAA allows it, there are big vested interests in military equipment companies selling gear, think they might flatten the concept.

Think I might put some bend in the wings though for a bit of inbuilt stability.
