UAV Forecast provides a comprehensive forecast of flying conditions by combining weather data, visible GPS satellites, and solar flare (Kp) activity. It's completely free! Visit the new site here:
The GPS satellites have a 24-hour orbital period, so they're in roughly the same place in the sky at the same time every day. Their orbits do change slightly over longer periods of time though so the number of visible satellites is not always the same, but it's usually pretty close.
Thats really useful, thanks for that. I can easily scroll down the page and see what day is best to go flying after work. It would also be useful just for RC flying.

It says windy at my location, and it is. It also says "no" to fly for the next week! :(
Nice tool. I've been using a K-Index phone app, now this gives complete info in one spot.
wow - that's really great! Thanks a lot!!
Fantastic! Added to bookmarks.

Nifty. I'd like to know why it seems that you get the most GPS PRNs at around 5pm.
Really Great Forecaster Lloyd,
It came up with my home location already in it and it's really easy to use.
You might clarify what Kp is on the page itself.
I think a lot of people don't know its how Solar radiation is forecast to affect the ionosphere that can interfere with GPS or radio communications.
Best Regards,
Gary
