NOTE: Parameter settings was also broken. Next release we will also have 'beta' releases so we can avoid these simple mistakes getting into stable releases, and if you are so inclined, can help us test before release.

2.0.13 improves connectivity with bluetooth devices as well. :-) Thx for all the reports so far on these issues. You can always try the daily builds if you like to experiment see http://firmware.diydrones.com/Tools/APMPlanner/daily/

NOTE: auto tlogging was broken, so we have pushed a minor update to fix the issue. There are some other small changes as well, see the release notes for more info

NOTE: we have pushed a fixed release 2.0.12 to fix some minor issue and automatic tlog creation.

  • @Micheal, Thanks for the response, After a lot of messing around and re-flashing all sd cards re-loading all firmware both on the mac and the y6 I did manage to get it connected again using a different port selection, this time using the usbserialDB or DS (not sure which of the top of my head) and 57600 baud? this is a little different then before using the bluetooth incoming channel at 11520 baud which worked great? maybe theres a difference with the 57600 and ill get less of a connection? New to this so not sure really?

But upon regaining connection I had to redo all my calibrations again and at first the rc calibration refused to register continue to repeat pre arm check rc not calibrated when it did show successful calibration during the process? after a while a retrying it did finally calibrate, but now I'm getting a pre arm check issue of FS_thr_value check which i never had before reinstalling everything?...Almost wish i never re installing and flashed everything now as maybe just continuing to mess with the connection settings could of solved the first problem without adding more...Also it keeps random switching to land on its own which is my secondary failsafe setting?

    Thanks again for the response.

  • Previous versions are available here: http://firmware.diydrones.com/Tools/APMPlanner/

Can you submit a bug report detailing the issues you're having, or at the least upload your log files somewhere for us to look at? Hopefully we can figure out your issue and get you back up and running with the new version.

  • Anyone know where to get the previous version of apm planner, all the installation did of this new one was completely mess everything up, I can no longer get any form of connection as a result, where the previous version worked flawless?

Currently you need to be connected to a UAV. We can fix that in the next release.

  • Mission Elevation widget doesn't seem to do anything.  Nothing happens when trying to map the elevation of a mission I have plotted.  Am I missing something?

A fix for tlog support is in these builds. http://firmware.diydrones.com/Tools/APMPlanner/daily/2014-07-09/
We will push a 2.0.12 build tomorrow that fixes tlog saving tomorrow.
  • TLogs are not being generated in 2.0.11 as noted here: https://github.com/diydrones/apm_planner/issues/397

A fix will be available as a daily build soon.
