APM Planner 2.0.7 has been released. This is the first official stable release of AP2, which is the cross-platform (Mac/Windows/Linux) ground station/setup utility for APM/Pixhawk-based UAVs. Here's a list of features

Known Issues:
- Google Maps shows only outlines at some zoom factors

@Bill I manually updated so i didn't see the auto update message, sorry.
@Bill: I just opened my APM 2.0.6 on mac, but I didn't see the auto update message so I performed a manual upate.
(Note: linux user will be notified of an update, but they will have to manually source. We are getting closer to a debian version, hopefully the next release)

Is there an option for feet instead of meters?
You can add values to the Info View below the HUD. Just double click on it, and you can see all the messages from MAVLink. But you are correct the the MAVLink radio message is not showing up. I'll fix that for the next release.
In MP there are three rssi-related field, having to do with local and remote 3DR radio rssi, and the rxrssi value for when you want to monitor the RC rx signal via APM and minimosd. On APM Planner I could only find the "rssi" field so didn't know war it represents, and whether its controlled by RSSI_PIN or RSSI_RANGE parms.
Also not able to add "user setting" (fields) to HUD like on MP by right-click. Is HUD modifiable with stuff like battery values, rxrssi, amps, etc?

Can someone please do a side by side comparison of Mission Planner Vs. APM Planner? Is one better than the other or better for fixed wing/Multirotor, etc?
It's very confusing the way these are implemented. One could easily be confused that APM Planner is the new Mission Planner and Vice versa.
Updated to 2.07, and fixed. If you download 2.0.6 you will be automatically notified of the new version. Thx
