  • Posted here earlier: You can put it inside the plane's fuselage, etc as long as the plane is made out of the usual materials. Should face up towards the sky.
  • Hi Matt,
Thanks for that. The reason I asked is my Mikrocopter (quadrocopter) info on fitting the GPS unit was most emphatic that the unit faced a certain way in relation to the front of the machine.
    Cheers

  • There is no front or back, any way will do. But there is a top which must face up.
  • Hi all,
An easy question for you experts...
    Mounting the EM406a GPS unit.
Which side is to the front of the 'plane in respect to the connecting lead?
I can't see any reference in the instructions.
    Thanks
    John

  • Guys,

Anyone have any luck with the Locosys GPS? I've got mine hooked up, the blue LED is flashing and flashing and flashing...
  • sorry John Chris seems to have the best solution there.... as well he is right we really ought to post more in the forum with a specific topic and specific discussion on that problem This way others can review it later in a more organized fashion. Just my 2cents.

    John,

I don't know why, either, and it's too hard to figure out why telegram-style in this sort of forum. I'll PM you my address; just send it to me and I'll program it for you and send it back.
  • Hi Chris,
The battery is 5 volts, I can plug it into the board or the rx'er and everything works the same.
As far as I can tell the board is working fine. As I've said before all the led's work as per the "Correct Ardupilot LED behavior" instructions.
I can't understand why the upload appears to go half way and then the error comes up.
