I have done a few test flights with ArduPilot Mega at the recent weekend. Everything was perfect and I decided to make a video about operating with APM at the field. I hope it will be interesting for newbies and useful for those, who wonder how APM works in real conditions.

Mohamed, if you mean V-tail, there is no something special. Actually, it works only as elevator without rudder function.
Ground calibration is a part of APM loading routine, you need to put the plane with zero pitch and yaw to calibrate accels and gyros as zero position.
As a test before take off, you can check if stabilize mode works as it should by moving the plane in your hands and see whether control surfaces try to maintain zero position or not.
hello kirill
can you explain your flight code and dealing with inverted tail configuration, ground testing calibration
nice work, good luck
Thanks, I am glad to know you liked it.
I.S., I use Thomas Scherrer UHF, it is 433 MHz long range system with 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0 W power output and diversity receiver, excellent for far flights. Actually, Dragonlink or ChainLink are the same, but I think the quality of Scherrer is better.
You can read more about it here http://www.webx.dk/rc/uhf-link3/uhf-link3.htm
nice set up nicely explained.
could you tell us more about the long range system used?
good video! well done
