AttoPilot 3.3 price increases from $3,000 to $4,200

When the IMU version of AttoPilot (version 3.3) was first announced, the price was given as $3,000. Now I see it's $4,200. The IMU by itself is $1,500. I was kinda hoping the price movement would go the other way, but I know it's a quality product and Dean has to make a living...

    I totally agree kevin - Attopilot was the reason I found DIYDrones.com, but business has no feelings..

    Hooks my beef is that he has been hamming it up as some kind of sword of destiny for the hobbyist, garnering their support. Quite often it is the discussion and reputation built among the hobbyist community that enables the 'big boys' to actually gain knowlege of your product in the first place. In this instance it is quite obvious that Dean has been playing everyone from the beginning merely to reach out to his true goal, money, money, MONEY.

    All have the right for his own opinion and a website like this is probably exactly where one should speak out.
    BTW: My opinion, I think Dean reached out the the BIG boys, thats where the $ is. Hobbyist is another category who may not be exciting enough to sell to. Personally I have big sympathy for it.

    Kevin: Dean has left the door wide open for someone else to provide a low cost, high functioning IMU based autopilot. How about showing us what you've got to offer when you get a break from ripping Dean to shreds. Let's at least tar and feather them. You speak like you expect someone to serve up the perfect product and then deliver it to you for free. After reading your post I'm ready to have Dean and Chris arrested and put in jail for screwing us all! It's practically criminal what they've done here ... trying to develop a great autopilot and bring it to market. They should have been sitting on their heinies and waiting for the free handouts they deserve ... just like you are ... Yeah, that's the ticket, let's all sit on our butts and wait for someone to give us all the stuff we rightfully deserve ... and if it doesn't happen right away, let's go take stuff from the evil rich guys. [ Chris A. I realize you will probably have to delete this message, sorry for causing trouble. ] :-)

    Well it looks like this combination of both Dean's and Chris' lies and spin has led us all off in fairyland once again. So much for the grandiose visions of making an affordable autopilot for the hobbyist, so much for helping the little guy, thanks for becoming the same as the very companies Dean has convinced us were no good rotten apples. It's time to face facts, and we've been taken in by these clowns. No more for me, I'm sick of putting up with Dean's childish antics on the diydrones forums. Ardupilot it is, next thing you know Dean will be ripping it to shreds too like he has to all the commercial autopilots.

    Shame on you Dean, shame on you.

    Ease of use goes a long way to reduce support questions, does that price include minimal training too??

    He's slowly learning how difficult the support & testing is. Oh by the way, my ArduIMU gyros doesn't work! Just kidding.
