This might not be news to some, but for those that it is...  Amazing.  Imagine a super light material that could be both frame AND battery.  Imagine hours of electric flight time with a quad.  Or even one hour.

New lighter-than-air material may be Holy Grail for batteries

We need big business to fast track the industrial application research, this could also be the holy grail for electric vehicles, very exciting!!

There have been several announcements similar to this lately and it is always encouraging.

Perhaps the material could serve as a conductor and structural support?

That would elminate the need for power cabling if it can handle sufficient current and maintain structural shape.

I will go out on a limb and say 5 years will pass before we see any products from this - if any at all.

Forget Quads, I want a 300hp motorcycle that will go 3000km per charge :) :)
