Michael Oborne has released a Windows GUI version of his great program to interface ArduPilot/APM with Xplane and FlightGear.
It's working well for me. Can you check it out and see how it works for you?
Instructions for setting up ArduPilot and sims are here.

Apologies the new new version with the dials on the right does work fine and throttle works once wires are connected, other questions above still valid.
Thanks,
Tony
Thanks for the reply. Just to let you know i have now connected the 2 wires on the underside of the board.
The new version causes an error on windows 7 on my machine but if you press continue it then starts up.
The aircraft on XPlane very eratic dancing all over the runway crashing everywhere. A chase view show the rudder is full over to the left and i have no control.
Looking at the Ardupilot instructions channel 4 is optional and that i need to solder an wire Analog 4 to MUX IN 4 and if i want to read the receiver i need to connect a jumper from channel 4 in to Pin 11. Is this still correct for ArduPilot 2.7 Beta3??
Also it says to make a code change and add set_ch4_degrees(deg); and where in the code again is this still upto date and it would be nice if someone could recommend a place to add it.
Regarding XPlane setup, is there a sample set of waypoints someone could give me and advise whether a certain location should be chosen in xplane.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Tony
and Tony, for the throttle i will say you do need cable link... otherwise the ardupilot wont see the input. Im not sure on the others as i dont test my program with a transmitter at all. just lots of basicly bind plugs holding all the inputs to ground.
Thanks
Michael
Please get the latest exe from here This is a windows only version as it has the graph.
Thanks
Michael
Thanks for your reply. Sorry i was just checking as the manual was written for those who wish to setup x-plane -> ArduPilot before this new piece of software was released. I know the answer to this question is probably also in a manual somewhere but most manuals are being superseeded by new additional hardware and software being released, the simulator is responding to my input on the transmitter for Aileron and Elevator but rudder does not appear to be working and also no throttle. Do i still need to make the 2 wire connections on the bottom of the ArduPilot board, the manual that talks about that also refers to the thermopiles and not IMU+ V2, if im using IMU+ V2 (flat) do i still need to make these wire connections. And it also mentions NOTE: Most people are having better luck using PIN 11 as the throttle input as opposed to PIN 13 is this a choice or is this decided in the software. Many thanks for being patient with me.

Tony
So if i use this program (Xplane/Flight gear interface for ArduPilot APM) with Ardupilot 2.7 and IMU V2+ (flat) and Xplane, what other software do i need or does this BETA program replace SerProxy etc??
