Buying UAVs from China

We're getting pretty good at sourcing components from China, and one of the best places to start is Alibaba, which is a clearinghouse of Chinese manufacturers selling wholesale, usually for crazy cheap prices and at volumes as low as a single item. A search for "UAV" is pretty interesting ;-)

    Well done Joseph, I like
  • I inquired about that machine a little while ago.
Not interested in the entire system I only got a quote for the airframe, which is selling for USD $6300 ex-factory
Here is a few pics and the datasheet

  • Hi guys, so you could forgo the language barrier problem I called the seller at the link Jack Crossfire left and the UAVs are in the range of 300,000 yuan. This translates into approximately 44,000 USD, or 31,300 EUR

I'm no UAV expert, so if anyone happens to spot a listing that doesn't seem like some sort of professional commercial equipment I'd be happy to help out with the language part and make the phone call for you. I'd be interested in getting something conceivably affordable.
  • Wonderful, just give it a little time and we'll soon be able to buy 12 packs of UAV's for 5 bucks at the local Walmart but UAV exports from the US will still be illegal. Makes perfect sense *sarcasm*

On the bigger pic at the top, it sort of looks like the skids attach to the airframe, might be totally wrong.
