The Industrial Design senior class is working on a project in collaboration with the Geography and Archeology departments to commercialize remote sensing UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) for surveying terrain. We've broken down the different aspects of the project to allow every student to be involved in the process. There are four groups; user experience, packaging, launch & recovery and documentation.

Interested to see what the "Packaging Group" will come up with. Sounds like they are taking the X8 and tweaking it for ease of setup, not necessarily flight characteristics. Just the sounds of "commercialization" sends shivers up my back until 2015. Maybe their marketing group can do something to put a good spin on UAS since their main focus appears to be geography and archaeology.
They obviously did their homework if they are using APM 2.5 on a fixed wing.
