Caution with the FAA UAS Registration Site

I just registered @ https://registermyuas.faa.gov ;. Upon completing and hitting submit, I was emailed someone else's registration. When I login, I am presented with someone's complete information. Sorry, Justin, maybe you got mine...

In light of all this I think I will follow the AMA's recommendation to hold off a bit. I don't know if it will make any difference though.  I hope I don't get arrested by misinformed police.  Honestly,  I find all of this unbelievable, ridiculous, and on and on.  Oh wait, I forgot this is my government.  I'm sorry, it all makes sense again to me.

That's what people would do in Canada.

It happen with our now scrapped gun registry :-)

 The Law-Abiding Unregistered Firearms Association estimated that over 70% of all firearms in Canada were never registered

In early 2000, the Canadian Firearms Program released a report that showed that implementation costs were rising. Major backlogs in registration—largely as a result of firearm owners waiting until the last minute to apply—general increase in costs, fee waivers for early applications, and high error rates in applications submitted by firearm owners were all cited as contributing factors to the rising costs. Although not reported, many political scientists believe the real reason behind rising costs and time was due to government inefficiency, and not the fault of gun owners

Seriously folks, who registers on day one?

Oh, and, do you think anyone gets reprimanded for these issues? Gotta love the double standard parasite that is gov.

@Tedro, I was more curious than anything else. So put me down as a person who registered on day one!

I did report the issue right away and I received a typical auto response type message.

How do you file a complaint on a police officer to the same police officer? I wonder what to expect as an outcome.

I just tried to login and seems my email address and password no longer work. I reset my password, was sent a reset email and confirmation that I updated my password. Yet it still does not work. It is broke for sure, or maybe I will find myself on the No-Fly List. :(

@Tedro

"gov". Close but no cigar. Our so called gov was suspended decades ago with the Emergency Warpowers Act, followed up by the Administrative Procedures Act. It sounded all warm and fuzzy when these things were introduced, but how warm and fuzzy are things now? Grown men acting like dominators from a poorly scripted B movie. Maybe us doers and hobbyists can make friends with these people and offer them hobby exploration field trips so they can see all the fun they are missing out on :)

Crowd funding campaign maybe?

Crowd funded? Nice!

I was under impression, but I could be wrong - US Government IS Crown Funded!

It looks like the registration site is being taken down in the evenings for maintenance.  They do not even know how to properly write their notification, saying "tonight" rather than giving an actual date.
