I want to share my journey of designing a drone in India, start to finish, hopefully for cheap and mainly built from recycled items to keep the costs down.
I started this project as a free-time project, but I would like to carry it on as a mainstream project with help from you guys.
My aim is to keep the costs down as I am only 13 years old and its a bit difficult for me to spend a lot of money on shipping,etc.
Plans:

- DIY Autopilot based on Arduino Mega 2560 (ADK) -- FreePilot Autopilot
- DIY IMU with AHRS *
- GPS navigation,waypoints,etc.

Also we have some old parts like Ardupilot legacy, or APM1280 boards if you would want to try using them let me know.

I think its a great idea that you are working towards. As Crasher mentioned it would be nice to see more distributors offering help to people doing interesting projects. Thats why we have always offered student/ project discounts from our shop. Just send us your details here. And we can give you even cheaper prices that are listed on our store-front. Anyone else working on cool projects can apply too.
If you are wanting to start with a more ready built platform like the Ardupiulot Mega kits. we can help you out. But if you are after something much more hands on you could look at something like a MPU6050 breakout, or a sensor stick for your IMU.

are you going to publish all your code or put it up for download. likewise i am 14 so cant really spend much but i have an arduino etc.
i think he will be a very happy camper :) i guess we will c what else he needs
