Not sure if this says more about public perceptions of drones or about Colorado, but FWIW:
Deer Trail's town board will vote Aug. 6 on an ordinance that would create drone-hunting licenses and offer $100 bounties for unmanned aerial vehicles.
"We do not want drones in town," said Phillip Steel, the resident who drafted the ordinance. "They fly in town, they get shot down."
Even though it's against the law to destroy federal property, Steel's proposed ordinance outlines weapons, ammunition, rules of engagement, techniques and bounties for drone hunting.
Drone-hunting licenses would be issued without a background investigation and on an anonymous basis. Applicants would have to be at least 21 years old and be able to "read and understand English."

Nathaniel...you are so right.. Unfortunately many Americans have bought into the Mainstream Media’s agenda that pimps and sells the dumbing down of Reality...basically they have successfully sold the American public the Idea of FEAR.. that Everyone ( or Someone) is against them..Either a Terrorist from afar…or maybe their even their own Government or perhaps even a Neighbor down the street...FEAR and Ignorance is running rampant in the American mindset today... I guess the real question to ask .is not only Who pushes' this agenda.. but Why?

actually, they have banned it from their town as per Ordinance No. 248 - Prohibition of Medical Marijuana Commercial and Business Activities.
They also seem to have made curfews for kids under 18 to stay out later than 12 midnight.
Their town homepage is full of ads. What kind of people are running this place?!

Or a drone that is actually capable of shooting back if shot upon. So Mr. "Deer Fart City" might get an unexpected - heat seeking - laser guided - reply from above worth more than 100$. It is absolutely guaranteed that the "mayor" of Deer Fart or whatever it is has (a) no sense of humor and (b) hasn't a clue what being mocked means (if he understood the concept he would never, ever have allowed that picture).
